FxPro KYC from Japan — Documents and Review Time

KYC goes more smoothly when the submitted documents and the application tell the same story. Focus on valid dates, legible images and exact name/address formatting rather than sending the maximum number of files.

75%+ of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs.

Identity evidence needs to be complete

A passport, driving licence or My Number card may be accepted, depending on the live list. Make sure the photo, expiry date and all four edges are visible. Glare, cropped corners or a finger over a field can trigger a request to submit again even when the document itself is valid.

Address proof is about date and matching text

A residence certificate, utility statement or bank document can be options, often dated within roughly three months. The important fields are your name, address and issue date. Enter the apartment/building and number order in the application consistently with the source document.

Use the signed-in portal to submit

Do not send a sensitive document simply because an email link asks for it. Sign in to the official Direct portal and check the outstanding requirements there. A one-to-three-business-day review window is common, but extra checks, volume or a mismatch can extend it.

KYC is separate from account suitability

Approval does not mean a product is suitable or that funding will be available on every route. FxPro is not a Japanese FSA broker. After verification, check your own entity and payment menu before moving money.

Match every field before uploading

Read legal name, address order, issue date, expiry and image edges before you upload. A clean first submission is usually faster than several replacements. Reflection, cropped corners and mismatched romanisation are common delay causes.

A passport, driving licence or My Number card may be accepted for identity; proof of address is often expected within about three months. The live list for your entity is the rule, not a general article.

One to three business days is an indication, not a deadline. Prefer logging into the official portal yourself over following a fresh email link when you re-check status.

Prepare documents before you start the form

Have identity and address files ready before opening the form. Re-shooting documents mid-application is how people submit cropped edges and mismatched spellings. Use the same romanisation everywhere, including building names.

If a document is rejected, fix the stated reason once and resubmit. Sending five versions in an hour rarely helps. Prefer the official portal status page over forwarding every new email link from a phone notification.
